We are inspired by others and value education.

The five University presses –NYU, Fordham, Rutgers, Temple, and Virginia—came together to establish the American Literatures Initiative, designed to create new opportunities for publication in underserved and emerging areas.

The collaboration of these presses bring different focus and shed the light of knowledge.

In the same spirit of collaboration, our studio is honored to be involved with these presses and develop two Initiative identities.

The American Literature Initiative - ALI -  creates new opportunities for publication in underserved and emerging areas of humanistic scholarship.  The most recent grant for Early American Places focuses on the history of North America with an emphasis on local particularities and smaller geographic scales.

Bringing worlds together as one voice inspired these insignia marks.  Each time we read and turn a page, opportunities become endless.

Our design idea celebrates the root of knowledge and the joy reading, and working together.
